Viagra was a popular treatment for heart problems for over 50 years and Cialis for a decade, but its popularity has grown since its launch, especially for men with erectile dysfunction.
Researchers from University of Maryland School of Medicine examined data from one of the most popular ED drugs, Viagra, from more than 200,000 men. The study, which was published online in the journal Virology, found that men who were taking Viagra (10.7% more than they were taking Cialis) had a significantly higher risk of developing erectile dysfunction than those who were not taking the pills. Viagra also had a significantly lower rate of sexual arousal than Cialis, which was taken in the same dosage, or Viagra and Cialis, and a slightly lower rate of sexual arousal than the other two medications.
Viagra, which is now available as a generic drug, has already been shown to improve blood flow to the penis, but the findings may not improve the lives of men with certain heart conditions. The study, published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, examined data from nearly 6,000 men who took either Viagra or Cialis for a year. Of those men, nearly one third were taking both medications, while about 10 percent were taking Viagra. The researchers found that men who were taking Viagra, even those who did not take Cialis, had a significantly lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction.
Viagra was the most popular treatment for erectile dysfunction in 1998, but Cialis was the most popular treatment for impotence in 2003, and in 2007, Viagra was the most popular treatment for erectile dysfunction. A few other ED drugs were also used to treat erectile dysfunction, such as Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra. In 2007, the National Institutes of Health issued guidelines recommending that men take an alternative to Viagra for erectile dysfunction. According to the guidelines, men who took Viagra, even those who did not take Cialis, were more likely to develop erectile dysfunction than those who were taking Cialis, even those who took Viagra, or those who took Cialis, or Levitra. The new study, published online in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, did not find any difference in the rates of men who took Viagra or Cialis or Levitra, and the researchers concluded that Viagra and Cialis do not work as well as other ED drugs. In addition, Viagra and Cialis were both effective in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, while Viagra had a slight higher rate of sexual arousal.
In a report published in the American Journal of Medicine in June 2015, researchers reported that more than 30 million men worldwide have suffered from erectile dysfunction. However, there are no specific tests that can predict the ability of the medication to improve erectile function or sexual satisfaction for men with erectile dysfunction.
The findings were published in the journal Virology.org. This is an online edition of the Journal's. The study, titled "An Open Discussion on ED Drugs," looked at data from nearly 6,000 men who took Viagra (10.7% more than they were taking Cialis) for six months. They also looked at data from the International Consensus Group for the Study of Men's Health. Viagra was the most popular treatment for erectile dysfunction in 1998, followed by Cialis, Levitra, and other ED drugs. A few other medications were also taken to treat erectile dysfunction, such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra.
A review in the International Journal of Impotence and Sexual Health, published in the March 2015 issue, found that Viagra and Cialis have been associated with a modest increased risk of developing erectile dysfunction among men who were taking Viagra, but not Viagra or Cialis. There were no differences in rates of sexual arousal or ejaculation in the three treatment groups.
The study authors concluded that both Viagra and Cialis were effective in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men with erectile dysfunction who have not been diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular disease, or who are at high risk for developing heart disease. Both medications can be used as a first-line therapy for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
